Joseph had to undergo total pancreatectomy due to chronic inflammation and severe abdominal pain.

 

While the surgery relieved his pain, diabetes soon took a heavy toll on his life, with constant highs and lows.

 

Determined to regain control, Joseph traveled from Cleveland to receive an islet transplant with us.

 

Now, his life is back on track—no more insulin, and his HbA1c has already dropped from 8.2 to 5.7 just three months post-transplant.
