Anne
Type 1 Diabetes didn’t stop Anne from pursuing her passion. She’s an educational researcher who earned her PhD from the University of Cambridge in the UK.
Annie is a strong advocate for education equity and a passionate supporter of open science.
Last year she celebrated one year of insulin independence, with an A1c of 5.3 and this year second anniversary with !

Deborah and Jocelynn
One received a cadaveric islet transplant and the other one- stem cell-derived islet cell transplantation.
Today, both are diabetes free, both insulin independent and approaching one year after their single islet transplant.
