Jennifer

Jennifer  struggled with her diabetes and decided to sign up for an islet transplantation.

She went through the evaluation and testing successfully, until last result came positive for strong antibodies against  other people. Unfortunately, she did not qualify for the islet study.

She was devastated. However, during the process she found out that the  whole pancreas transplantation can be the other option.

In May 2021, she received pancreas transplantation in Philadelphia and has been fee of insulin and free of worry since then.

Congratulations Jennifer!

"...Hi Doctor-

I wanted to thank you again. Although I didn’t qualify for your islet transplant at the time you educated me about the pancreas transplant. I wouldn’t have even looked into it without your advice.

I will send your information on to the two people I know who may be interested in an islet transplant.

Thank you so very much! You changed my life.

Jen..."
